Parimala Parthasarathy was introduced to Iyengar Yoga by her sister-in-law to address a spur problem in her left foot. Since then, she has studied under Smt. Gayathri Ramesh at IYD for the past fifteen years. Under Gayathri Ramesh’s dedicated guidance, Parimala has experienced remarkable changes—not only physically, but mentally and emotionally as well.
Gayathri Ramesh’s perfectionism and expertise in body alignment, combined with her methodical and compassionate teaching style, have nurtured Parimala’s deep passion for Iyengar Yoga. Through these classes, Parimala has become more composed, light-hearted, and empathetic toward others.
Parimala believes that true health encompasses both body and mind, and she is committed to sharing Iyengar Yoga so that others might experience its transformative power—after all, health is wealth.
